Out of all the Eds, Ed’s home life is the most clearly unhealthy. It is made clear throughout the show that Ed is a victim of favouritism, his Mother blatantly favouring Sarah over him. His mother’s behaviour in general, is downright abusive. She regularly and unfairly punishes Ed for things he is largely innocent of, regularly taking the Ed's Dream World has appeared three times in the show. The first time was in "Once Upon an Ed," the second time in "Rock-a-Bye Ed," and finally in "Thick as an Ed."
